Bootcut Jods 

Eliminate the additional bulk of Half Chaps! The Deerskin, whether in Endurance Patch or Full Seat Style, is finished all the way down to the instep. The lower leg is a wider cut that is fitted over your paddock boots with an attached strap. The appearance is more of a slack, versus a tight. Endurance Deerskin Patch starts four inches above the knee and continues to the instep. The Full Seat styling is the same as our basic Full Seat, but the leather is, again, endurance to the instep. This style is perfect for those long rides on the trail whether riding English or Western. The Endurance Seat BootCut Jods has become very popular with bareback riders as well.

Perfect combination of absolute comfort and durability. The French Terry fabric has 120% 4-way stretch, and the Deerskin leather actually becomes softer with wear. The visual lines are designed to be flattering on every body type. The leather is hand cut and sewn in a fashion that contours the hip area, rather than being rounded through the seat. The contact with the saddle provides the feeling of complete ‘oneness’ with your horse.  The Full Seats are very popular with Dressage, Endurance, Trail Riding, and schooling riders.

Equissentials wide Dressage Patch is in a class by itself!  It is wider and longer than most patches offered, providing greater contact with the saddle and significantly extending the fabric life.  When riding, the additional contact through the upper thigh area feels similar to a Full Seat, but your seat bones are still completely free.  This style is perfect for Hunter/ Jumper, Endurance, Dressage, and Three Day Event Riders, as well as for everyday schooling.  They are a great choice for those just starting out to the seasoned veteran.

Half Seats
 

The "in-between" to the Full Seat and Dressage Patch, the Deerskin Half Seat provides additional grip through your seat bones without feeling "stuck" to the saddle. Perfect for those riders that prefer some additional grip and protection through the seat bone area. The leather starts four inches below the knee and continues through the crotch seam.

Please note that individual computers display colors differently.  Our sample for instance shows the turquoise much more into the seagreen shade and the blue much darker than the picture to the right.  I will update pictures as they become available.

Please keep in mind that the colors shown here are not exact, in fact, most of them look a little too much like candy colors, but it is the best I could do to give an idea what your new breeches could look like.

Many extras are available to add to your basic pull-on breeches.  On the right you see a cell phone pocket in the shape of a horseshoe, which can be added with or without the tab. 

The pants also come with front- or side zippers added, belt loops and even side fringes.

On the bottom you see many different shapes that can be added instead of the traditional "Equissential Star", which used to cover slight imperfections in the natural deerskin, but became so popular, that customers asked for an expansion to the shapes.

French Terry (code 9)

The French Terry fabric is a dense knit of 88% cotton and 12% Lycra^TM and has 120% stretch in all directions. This allows complete Freedom of Motion - the ability to move in any direction - letting you mount your horse or squat to the floor with ease and no binding, bunching or slipping.

The outside of our French Terry fabric is densely knit. The inside has a soft 'chamois feel' - with tiny loops that wick away sweat in the summer and insulate in the winter. The feeling next to the skin is so luxurious! You won't believe how comfortable they are.

A light 90% cotton and 10% Lycra^TM blend for warmer days, with just the right amount of stretch and support. Offered in our EverTights.

Introduced in the Spring of 2004, the Power Tricot is the latest addition to our fabric selections.  Developed for the Parelli organization, this high tech fabric is constructed of 87% nylon and 13% Lycra^TM, and has a “slightly glossy” finish.  Customers have stated that it wears like iron but still maintains all the support and comfort of our other fabrics.   The powerful wicking properties will leave you cool and dry in the warmest climates.  Not available in GripBums or GripKnees.

  NEW       Moleskin (code 4)

Moleskin is a High Tech fabric of 86% nylon and 14% Lycra^TM.  It is slightly heavier than our popular Power Tricot, offering more support, snag resistance and the moisture wicking properties so necessary in the warmer weather.  Riders in more temperate climates will find this fabric suitable for all but the coldest temperatures.  Not available in GripBums or GripKnees.  Available in Chocolate ONLY.

I had questions about the nylon being cool, but Joe from Equissentials assured me that with the new treatments and all the technology going into fabric development this is truly a comfortable breech.  I heard that a famous horse whisperer is now outfitting in moleskin!

Polartec^TM fabric (Made exclusively by Malden Mills, Lawrence, MA) has a tight nylon knit outer that repels winters worst, including snow, sleet, and those bitter winds. As an additional bonus, it also repels your barns’ worst, including hay and shavings. The inside is fleece which feels incredible against your skin. Sandwiched between the fleece and nylon outer skin is a special membrane making this fabric windproof.  This fabric creates delicious warmth while still offering the flexibility lost in the multiple layering system.  It has been tested down to -20°F!

Now you can use a washing machine to bring back comfort and good looks to those stiff, grimy chaps and easily maintain full seat riding pants with Leather Laundry Solution and Laundry Rinse & Dressing. This new product team cleans and conditions natural suede or smooth leathers, fabrics and wool fleece, plus protects against fading while providing anti-static comfort.
The one-two punch works like this:  Leather Laundry Solution washes away grimy soil in leather and fabric while protecting fibre feel and color.  The follow up Laundry Rinse & Dressing adds rich conditioning emollients into rinse water -- and can also be applied directly (comes with a sponge) to wet leather to increase softness as it dries.  For added convenience each comes in a 20 oz. laundry-type bottle with Pour-Back measuring cap.
We also have available a gift set, which contains 1 4oz. bottle of each the Laundry Solution and the Rinse & Dressing in a vinyl bag.
